FAQ

My car is still under new car warranty… can you service it?

Absolutely. You do not need to get your car serviced at the dealership to keep your manufacturer’s warranty intact. Despite what your dealer may say, or the impression you get reading the logbook or warranty terms, you’re legally entitled to shop around for the best servicing deal without voiding your manufacturer’s warranty. The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) says “a manufacturer’s warranty is a promise to the consumer that the vehicle will be free from defects for a certain period of time”. While a manufacturer can have certain requirements in its warranty terms – such as ensuring any servicing is carried out by qualified staff, according to the manufacturer’s specification, and that appropriate quality parts are used where required – it can’t require you to service your vehicle through an authorised dealer to keep your warranty intact.

How much does it cost for a service on my car?

Charges vary greatly depending on the type of vehicle – mostly due to the different oils, oil quantities and parts required – hit ‘Contact Us’ or call us on 5473 0164 and we will happily provide you with an itemised quote or estimate for your vehicle.

Can I wait for my car or do I have to leave it with you all day?

You can indeed. The best time for a wait booking is 8.00am; we can guarantee we can start your vehicle at that booking time. You can still book a wait job for later in the day, and we’ll do our best to start as close as possible to that time, however we can’t guarantee what time we will be able to start work on your vehicle as there are many things that can happen prior to your booking that may prevent us from doing so.

How much does it cost for a Certificate of Inspection?

Approved Inspection Station fees are regulated by the Queensland Government:

I’m buying a car… is a safety certificate the same as a pre-purchase inspection?

No, they are quite different. The Queensland Light Vehicle Inspection Manual provides an assessment framework for the detection of vehicle defects or unsafe vehicle conditions. Safety certificate inspections are conducted within this assessment framework. Whilst this type of inspection may be an indicator of the vehicle’s condition, it is not an overall inspection of the vehicle. This is why a pre-purchase inspection is highly recommended, as it is a thorough inspection from which a detailed report is compiled regarding the overall condition of the vehicle.

Can I get a lift to Noosa Civic?

Yes! Live locally and need a lift home, to Noosa Civic or to your favourite coffee shop? Let us know when you book in and we will make it happen!

Do you take American Express?

We do. And there is no surcharge! We accept cash, all major credit cards, and direct deposit by prior arrangement.

Can I supply my own parts?

Regrettably, no. Due to Consumer Law changes in 2019, as a repairer, before fitting a customer supplied part it is incumbent on us to ensure the part is fit for purpose (and to not fit it if it isn’t), the part comes with a warranty and the part won’t cause problems for the vehicle if it is fitted. We have a proven and trusted network of suppliers that ensures all of these obligations are met, and as such, we choose not to fit customer supplied parts.
